# Account, contacts and security

> Update profile and organisation details, review notification contacts, change the password and choose safer session and concurrent-login settings.

The **Account** section contains profile details, notification contacts and sign-in settings. These changes affect the whole account, so first verify which login is currently signed in.

 ## Account profile

The personal-details page displays the login without an edit control. Available profile fields are saved separately and do not rename the user.

 ![Editing personal details with a non-editable login](https://help.gpsoperator.com/storage/projects/47/pages/546/2026/09/d5d23a00-cb1e-4a9d-8900-3b596cc34d12.webp)

*Check the login before saving the country or city. Changing these fields does not transfer connected devices or correct tracker time.*

If your version of the site provides organisation details, enter them from official documents. They can be used for a business invoice but do not replace payment-reference details.

 ## Notification contacts

A separate page lets you change email and phone, confirm a number with a code and enter identifiers for available messaging services.

*The blocks shown depend on the hosting-site configuration. After changing a contact, run a controlled notification test and check the event log.*

Do not use somebody else's phone or identifier unless you retain authorised access to it. Bot commands and names can change; follow the instructions on the current screen.

 ## Session and concurrent sign-ins

The security page contains session lifetime and **Multi-login** settings.

*When multi-login is prohibited, concurrent use of the same account is restricted. A longer session lifetime also means that an unattended browser can retain access for longer.*

For a shared or dispatcher computer, choose a session lifetime consistent with your internal policy and always sign out after use. Do not enable multi-login merely to share one password among staff; use restricted tracking links or a separate operator facility provided by the service.

 ## Change the password

Enter the old password, then the new password and confirmation. Use a unique password that is not reused for email, payment accounts or other sites.

 After changing it:

 1. Sign out and test the new password in a private window.
2. Update it only in your password manager.
3. Check the expected behaviour of other open sessions.
4. Do not change physical tracker settings—the website password is unrelated to them.

The current hosting security section does not display a TOTP control. Do not promise this option based on old documentation; use the controls actually visible on the user's page.

If access is lost, use recovery on the relevant hosting site or contact its administrator. Never send a working password, confirmation code or complete private-link secret to anyone.
